check ur thrid brake light because if one of the bulbs is out, it will set off the ABS inop light on.

^nope, I had my ABS INOP light come on when i run my car at night only, and that was just with the one bulb out of 2 in the third brake light. I replaced it and like magic, the light never came on.

Mine always comes on after I go through emissions, but as soon as I turn the car off and back on it goes away. I always thought that was weird.

well srry its took so long for an up date, the reason the light was on was cuz i took the spoiler off to get it ready and test fit a 98-02 ss spoiler before sending it to paint. well i got it back on monday and drove it straight home and with the new spoiler in place and the third brake light working im still getting the abs light. do i need to modify something to get the light off or do i need to open the dash up and take that little bulb out....lol... any suggestion?

You need to induce a load on the circuit since the LED's draw very few amps. You can pick up a loading diode from most parts stores.

I know this is an old thread, but I have the exact same problem..I added an SS style spoiler with the LED 3rd light and not have a flashing "ABS inop" light. A loading diode was mentioned. What are the specifics of this and the best place to get it?

Thanks

Ok, so I found another thread here with this link

http://shbox.com/1/relay_for_ss_spoiler.jpg

am I just taking 87, 87a, and 30 out of the circuit, like pulling the wires from the harness at the fuse block? or am I missing something?

Thanks

Ok so disconnecting those wires made the abs inop light stop blinking..and instead stays on solid.

What am I missing in that diagram in the link above?

any help would be appreciated cause that blinking light gets annoying really fast

there is no disconnecting of wires.. its easy. take and open your rear hatch, take the covers off the hatch so that the spoiler bolts are showing. there will be 2 wires coming from the spoiler. go buy a fuel pump relay or some other general relay. and run the 86 side of the relay to one wire and 85 to the other. this will turn of the light and evertime you hit the brakes u will here a click from the relay.

"yea i got a bulb out ill let u know cuz my inop light is on.....i gotta replace it tomorrow....ill let u guys know tomorrow...that and my low coolant lights on...but theres plenty...."

The low coolant light isn't anything to worry about. It is a common problem with the sensor. Best bet is to replace the coolant sensor, or just disconnect it.
