My 99Z28 starts and idles fine but cuts out over 2300 to 2500 rpm and over. If you drive normal it runs okay but if you try to accelerate fast it falls on its face. Car has 75000 miles, stock with flowmaster exhaust(for now).Need exhaust soon. No check engine light. Fuel pressure about 57 lbs.

This may not apply here but it's worth a shot. I had a similar problem with my car. It acted like it was running out of fuel @ around 3500-4000 under hard acceleration. I tinkerd around for about a week before I just looked it over and found that a piece of doublesided foam that was sealing my airbox had gotten sucked onto the screen of the MAF. I cleaned the screen and the problem was gone. -- 00' Trans Am convertible, M6 ,K&N, Edelbrock exhaust. SLP Loudmouth coming soon.

I went out of town for the weekend and the car started running worse so wife took it to the shop without calling me. They told her they thought it was bad mass air sensor and she told them to fix it. Sucks that I'm paying someone to fix something so easy. Will let you know for sure after sensor comes in.

most auto parts stores have a scanning tool and will scan your pcm for free. Idle fuel pressure might not show you what is happening off idle.
