Convertible Pump Oil?

Posted By: BlackVert On: 07-09-2009 @ 01:49:55         Reply | Edit
Hey, Anyone know what kind of oil goes in my pump for my convertible top? I've heard Automatic Transmission Fluid, Hydraulic Oil, Mineral Oil... When I go to Autozone or whereever, what should I be looking/asking for? I appreciate any info you can give, mine is really low. Thanks.

Mine looks and smells like powersteering fluid, but donư quote me on it. Neither my Haynes or owners manual has it listed. Very good question. Did you have to replace a cylinder or something? If its way low, I'd be checking for a leak somewhere.

I heard GM now takes mineral oil like from your drug store, check a gm service manual!
