I found a 1995 Z28 Camaro in my price range that I would love to buy. I am hesitant because it has 175,000 miles on it, and I do not have the money to be rebuilding the engine anytime soon. The car is from the original owner, I think he drove it rather mellow. I know he just replace the auto transmission recently.
How are your LS1 holding up? Is it common for them to go much past 200,000? Considering all regular maintenance has been performed. I know the owner took great care of the car, it is in amazing condition also he is a friend of the family.
Any input would be helpfull. Thank you

I guarantee you there is not ONE SINGLE original 1995 LS1 that has survived to this day.
The LS1 wasn't introduced into the f-body platform until 1998 (1997 in vettes). A 1995 Z28 came with an LT1. What is the price? I myself wouldn't even buy a very well maintained one with that kind of mileage unless it was dirt cheap. --

Sure enough, I'm an idiot. I could have sworn he said LS1. Thank you for clarifying that. Form searching around the internet forums I get the impression that the LT1 is a bitch to work on.
The price is 1,500 dollars. The price is good but at the moment I will not be able to invest any money in it. Thanks for your input.

245,000 miles on my LT1 right now and it's running like new.
For $1,500 you really can't go wrong. If the car has a serious breakdown, you could part it out and make some money. --
http://members.cardomain.com/1995ramair How can creating a car that never existed, be called a "poser"? It's called a "phantom" dumbass. 1995 Formula Convertible 1 of 1,038.

Honestly, for $1500 I'd go for it as long as it won't be your only car and it's in as good of condition as you say (body/interior wise). Can't really go wrong and it sounds like a great project car.
What color is it? -- Red 2009 G8 GT

My 97 5.7 Formula has 180k. Runs strong, no smoke, orig trans! ..It just broke down yesterday for first time since 2000! I think it's fuel pump. That's why I am in here now to find out how bad it is to replace!
