19" Wheels

Posted By: sabbott13 On: 08-13-2008 @ 17:22:21         Reply | Edit
After about 20,000 miles, my tires are in dire need of replacement. I decided to get some new CCW 505A wheels(275-30/19 fronts & 305/30/19 rears) These are 10" and 11" respectively and will be running Continental Contact Sport 3 tires.

Most people have told me I will need to roll the fender, but the guy from CCW promised me that they will be a perfect fit. Anyone have experience putting those wheels on your cars w/o rolling the fender?

Also, how much will this change the performance of the car? I would assume that with the shorter rear sidewall, that launching will not be as quick, but handling should improve, right?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Those rims are going to be quite a bit heavier! traction will be good on the 305's... car should handle great.

Post some pics!
