Weird problem on my 99Z28. Almost every time i unlock the car with the remote or lock the doors with the power locks when the car is off it blows the fuse for the radio/accessory which cuts off both the radio (monsoon if that matters) and the guages. Every so often it also blows the tail light fuse. Any suggestions?

The security light blinks if you turn the alarm on. However, almost every time I turn the alarm on or use the power door locks, it blows the fuse.

I'd be looking at a possible bad pcm.......or a portion of it is bad, but that requires more than what can be offered here. Time to get a dealer involved. It could be a feedback issue and not the pcm, but that involves alot of diagnostic work. ( I/E door lock cylinders, bad radio, etc? ) Does'nt sound like something you want to tackle on your own. Good Luck. -- 00' Trans Am convertible, M6 ,K&N, Edelbrock exhaust. SLP Loudmouth coming soon.

Now it keeps blowing my dash lights/tail lights fuse. Blows fuse as soon as I put it in. Thinking may in fact be BCM acting up. Anybody else have anything like this?

Turns out the daytime running light module was upsidedown and apparetly worked its way loose enough that it was shorting out and causing this.
