Winter driving

I am looking at getting back into a WS6 T/A, LS1 model this time vs my old LT1. It would be my DD though and I am concerned how well they are holding up to the winters. I live in an area where they salt the roads, OH/MI boarder. How are you front nose and area behind the tires/ground effects taking it? Lots of chips, minimal? Any issues with deep snow, how deep of snow were you able to get through or how deep was the snow you got stuck in? I really want to pull the trigger, the winter thing just has me nervous.
