Camaro won't start;NEED HELP

Posted By: hooknladder On: 06-19-2008 @ 10:44:05         Reply | Edit
I have 98 LS1 that won't start. The tailights continuously flash and will not shut off unless you disconnect the battery. The battery was dead but it tested good at Advance Auto and was recharged. When I put the battery back in,it still does nothing. I swapped the ignition cube relay with the starter cube relay since they are the same and still nothing. The key is new and was made a little less than a year ago. If anyone has any ideas or pointers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Get any dash lights? How about a security light?

Bcm malfunction........Try getting into the box first with a supplemental power source. That sounds like a bad mainboard in the bcm to me, but have a shop check the bcm before you take my word for it. If you swap the bcm relay for the AC clutch relay and have the same problem you have a bcm issue. The flashing tails is a security system feature that seems to be locked in a loop by the bcm. Any signal @ the coils? Any pulse on the injectors? I'd bet NO on either.
