Body control module

Posted By: stockcarfan24 On: 06-05-2008 @ 22:41:06         Reply | Edit
I think the Body control module (BCM) went out on my 99 Z28. My keyless entry still works but gauges, dash lights, stereo, and tail lights all quit at same time. Driver power window quit, according to my wife, but came back later. The window is a maybe because my passenger window motor quit and i havent changed it yet so maybe she hit wrong switch. All the individual fuses appear fine. Is there any way to test the BCM before i shell out 280 bucks for a new one? Thanks for the help!

The BCM is located under the glove box. You will have to remove a panel to access the module.

The only other fuse panel you need to check is between the driver door and dash. There is a cover that pops off where you can access several fuses.

There is a test for the BCM which I can e-mail you shortly. I just need to locate it! (Tino aka Temp Banned Member lol)

Thanks anyway, wasnt the bcm. A wire to the radio broke and caused a short.
