im about to buy a 98 ls1 camaro its about 300 miles alway is there anything i need to look for to make sure it does not have any major engine problems or anything i should look for all together. thanks

Just check for the basics: leaks, unusual noises, signs that it was hit, leaking t-tops, squeaks and rattles. Is the car stock or modded?

it has very few mods a new lid and exhaust and tune the only thing that worries me is the trans had been rebuilt 30k miles ago and my friend thinks that since the tranny as already gone once the engine might be ready to go next
