need help choosing the right headers for my 99 ls1 trans am

I got a 1999 trans am with an ls1 i so far got a flowmaster muffler on it now i want to get headers witch are the best and would i need to have the engine removed in order to install them.

As far as the style.

Long Tube style is the best

As far as meterial used.

Stainless Steel, no painted, or ceramic coatings.

As for company.

Dynatech
QTP
Kooks

are quaility stainless headers, the Dynatech SuperMaxx kit is a COMPLETE kit from bolts, gaskets, clamps, o2 sensors etc etc. I know a place that still sells with a catted slip on y pipe for around 1200.00

Also No, the engine does not need to be removed, Remove the old stuff, the oil filter and drain plug and they will slip in.
