Which gear best for a automatic transmission without losing fuel and top end horse power?

373 is the usual gear change

3.73's will be required due to most cam requirements, as well as stall converter (3000-3500ish)

You have 2.73's now

You right I have 2.73's so if I upgrade to 3.42 will I feel a Diffrence?

no its a waist of money if you spend the money go with 3.73's

did the same thing you are doing,maybe i would go w/243 for gas milage and i did! and wished i went with 373gears,and i now have 373 and much happier
