373 is the usual gear change --
1998 Camaro Z28 11.97@112.6 1.63 60"

3.73's will be required due to most cam requirements, as well as stall converter (3000-3500ish)

You right I have 2.73's so if I upgrade to 3.42 will I feel a Diffrence?

no its a waist of money if you spend the money go with 3.73's -- 98 z28 m6 blue/green
lss shifter, skip shift delete, tsp rumbler,competition engineering sfc's,3.90 gears

did the same thing you are doing,maybe i would go w/243 for gas milage and i did! and wished i went with 373gears,and i now have 373 and much happier
