If your car is relatively stock (performance wise), the stock TB is fine.

A ported (stock) TB will help on a car with a cam or heads and cam.

You generally only want to buy the larger TB if you plan to run big cubes or forced induction sometime soon. In which case you want to look at a different intake manifold also, like the LSX with a 90mm TB.

If you are looking at the BBK or something like that, usually 80mm, forget about it. Complete waste of money and they generally have NO resale value.
