Hey guys! I'm looking at an '02 WS6 with 65xxx miles on it. How long do the LS1 motors last? Will I get more life out of the motor? Thanks for looking!

depends on the matience of the car in general and the driving style of the owner, ask for records, ask questions if they did their own work etc etc.
They can last a very long time. -- 2002 Navy Blue Metallic Trans-Am, 6 Speed, Leather, T-tops. SLP Flow Pack, M/T Street Radials, Free Mods, otherwise stock. Moser 12-bolt and BMR Suspension soon to be installed.

Plenty here with 100k+ on them. Have a mechanic check the car over. Will save lots in the long run. -- 99 Formula

I have a 99 Formula WS6/Ram-Air with 24 K miles on it, no problems and a 2000 Z-28 with 124 K miles, only wear items replaced, no oil burn, still 23mpg on hwy. not afraid to take it any where. Just take care of a LS1 and it will take care of you.

200,000 miles should be no problem with a well maintained engine. However most cars barely reach a 100,000 before the owner start having a serious ich to do bigger mods. that can decrease the life of the engine. Not to say that a modded engine will not last it is just that more likely you will find the weak links in the engine and end up finding a good excuse for a 402, 408 or 427 engine swap. --

Don't worrry about the motor.
Worry a little about the tranny (65k, and my synchros are sticking).
Worry a lot about the rear end (rebuilt once, and whining again...sigh)

LS1 = god
it will last forever son
If you get an LS1 car, you might wanna go get it dyno'd to see if the tune good. Bad tunes could decrease your engine life --
