This is the third DIY kit I've built for my '02 Z28. I used a Holset H1E for this build. The stock manifolds are being used right now, but I plan to switch to truck manifolds and 317 heads soon.
A DIY alky injection system turns on at 3psi for intercooling, and tuning is done with HPtuners. I can't get on it right now because I don't have a WB o2 set up yet. I've got the timing pulled way back, and I have fattened it up under PE. I don't see any KR under the light boost. I'm pretty sure I'm safe, but I don't want to take a chance.
I built a frame for my radiator to sit upright and lower. I also relocated the battery to the back. Those mods made plenty of room for the turbo to sit in the engine bay.
I drove round trip 600+ miles to Vegas and back two days after the install and didn't get into to it at all. The most I saw was 3psi at part throttle going up grades. The boost starts to build around 2K RPM and comes in at part throttle.
I can't wait to get my WB so I can tune the AFR and open it up.

That turbo looks kinda small... does it have enough CFM to feed a modded LS1 ? -- 2000 Trans Am. MTI LID,

It's going to be maxed out at around 500 - 550fwhp. This turbo is going on my 302 when I finish building it. A T76, 317 heads and truck manifolds are going on the Z28 at that point. -- 2002 Z28

Looks like a very cool setup. Even cooler using junkyard parts. Good luck with the rest let us know how it turns out. -- Dan
