Both of the back two sail panel speakers have blown and now the front passanger side speker is going? i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? or if anyone had replaced theres and was happy with the results. i just wants highs out of the speakers bcuz i have 2 12" that give me plenty of bass. thanks -- Black 98 Formula with 49k. The stock speakers suck, and are prone to blow out.
If you have the monsoon sound system, the the sail panel drivers are actually subwoofers. The amp doesn't send high frequencies to those speakers, so you cant just replace them with a full range speaker. --

do u have a stock or aftermarket headunit? aftermarket headunits on stock speakers will blow them out over time no matter how much you baby them. (Ohm Differences)
I believe the problem can work in reverse too; using 3rd party speakers with a stock head unit can over heat the head unit (someone correct me if im wrong on that one)
Bottom line. disconnect the little 6" woofers from the rear seats, they are dumb.

If you have the subs I'd recommend putting some bass reducers (ABC Warehouse has them for sure, but I'm sure you can find them elsewhere) on all other speakers. Better for the speakers since you're not giving them as much bass, and better for the sound since there's less distortion. --
