headlight problem

when locking or un-locking car headlights go up and down by them self when they go down buzzing sound comes from drivers side headlight it buzzes about 20 sec i forgot to mention its 2001 firebird

It's the nylon gear in the driver's side motor. Rotate the gear 180 degrees, replace the gear with a brass gear, or replace the motor.
