Took down a CTS V

I was heading down the Dulles Greenway and there was a CTS V in front of me. So I catch up with him and we are in some traffic and he punches it and clears some traffic so I get through the traffic and catch back up with him and I get on his left side. We are running about 75 to 80 MPH and were side by side and I punch it a little to see if he is game. I am beside him and were doing 80 MPH now and he punches it and I punch it. I pull about a half car on him and we get up to about 130 and we are coming up on traffic so I start to let out of it and he takes a on ramp onto the Toll road and comes around the cars in his lane and cuts in front of them and then he gets out of it after I let out of it. So all in all I pulled a half car on the CTS V from 80 to 130 MPH. In my younger days I would have stayed in it until one of us crashed or killed someone. But with me getting older I start to think a little. It was a good time. Would have liked to raced him from a slower speed to see what my car really has but I will find out this Sunday at Mason Dixon with Eddie. --

Your mods....?
I saw a CTS-V dyno on HP tv, did like low 300 rwhp and I am assuming its heavier. Let us know what you have done. -- '94 Black Z28, 383 LT1 Breaking 11's SOON!

I don't know what the dyno on a CTS V is but the factory says 400 HP at the flyweel. The mods on my car are Hypertech tuner, 160 degree stat, SLP Lid, Smooth Bellows, K&N air filter, Flow Master Muffler and Cold Air. I bought the car used so I don't know if it has anything internal in the motor. That's all that has been done to the car. I did the SLP Lid, smooth bellows, 160 stat and cold air. --

i brought my car to h.p.e. bone stock to get a baseline this week it made 347rwhp...i was very impressed...now its time to wake it up a bit ...first mods are ported t.b. and kooks 17/8 headers and a cold air intake....second round will be getting it tuned ....and 3rd will be a cam and a pulley just to see what it will do in steps ...it makes it more interesting ....just to see how the ls2 responds to different mods... --

The one on HP TV came in at like 330 something at the rollers. Then they put Magna-charger on it and made like 450 something. --

Its a Caddy. The model is CTS and the V stands for something else. I am not sure. Its kind of like Camaro Z28 or Camaro SS.
The CTS V is the fastest Caddy they have. It is putting out 400 HP at the flywheel so says GM. --
