Got some money...what mods? Posted By: 02Z28Camaro On: 01-03-2008 @ 21:42:41 Reply | Edit Well my fiance and I ended it after 3 years and now I got a engagement ring to sell. I'm thinking about gettin rid of my bush truck too and using all the money I get off both of them to mod up the Z a bit more. I should be able to get at least 3k for the ring and 1500 to 2k for the truck, maybe more if I work on it a little bit. I was thinking along the lines of a rear 12 bolt or 9 inch a heads/cam package, then a good tune. Will that be enough money to get all that and are they good mods to do considering what I have so far? Rear's roughly $2,200. Cam goes for $300-$400, tune's $500, accessories vary, but you'll definitely want valve springs and pushrods, maybe a few other things. That's not including labor. You'll probably wanted a ported TB for another bolt-on to get the most out of it, as well. Def. go heads and cam and rear if possible. It may be tight but don't do anything half way and then regret it. Build the thing right. That is my best advice. You can get a complete moser 12 bolt rear for 2.5k and a good head and cam package like rapids stage II for 450 rear wheel hp for a little over 2.5k.
