Meet/Gathering (Illinois and Indiana)

Posted By: v8Roar On: 01-01-2008 @ 11:07:09         Reply | Edit
DATE: 3/26/05
TIME: 2:00PM
LOCATION:
Buffalo Wild Wings
74 S. Weber Rd.
Romeoville, IL 60446

All are welcome to join us at the meet, even if they aren’t V8 Havoc members or V8 power cars. So hopefully the weather is real nice because we could probably do a real nice cruise after the meet.

Please post up, if you are going to be able to make it. This way I can have some what of an idea on reservations at BWW’s. If you guys need directions, let me know.

I’ll see you folks there,
Mike

If you need more info you can also check out our post on the v8 havoc c.c. forums. http://www.v8havoc.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=177

I'll probably be there. I need to get out of this town anyways. I'll be in the new 02 though. The 94 will have the trans out of it at that point.

I bought everything I'll need off of a local guy who's removing it from his 95 Z28. Total package = very cheap. That includes shifter and custom extreme duty drive shaft and cross member (everything). The guy made maybe five passes on it and used the brake maybe 3 of those times. I was there. With a 355 and 306 cam he was pulling the fronts a good foot and a half or so on the launch. Should be fun. The 12 bolt will be soon as will the cage. It should be a pretty solid piece at that point.
EDIT: In all due fairness to the guy, I shouldn't give out what I paid for it it's that cheap. So I changed what I said I paid for it to "very cheap".

Moline Illinois. He's a member over on MFBA. I haven't picked everything up yet, but I'm commited to buy. I'll have it by the first of the month and hopefully have it ready to go by the time the local track opens in mid April. I hope! That's the plan anyways, and it's deffinetly doable. It's gonna rock for sure.
Even more good news is that my bud just bought a new Haulmark enclosed trailer to go with his new Dodge Ram and he said I could borrow the combo to take my 94 car to Ohio for TITN if I wanted. I'm kinda leary of doing that, but if he might go with me then maybe it can happen. So we'll see how that goes.

I've been banned from this site since like December 2003

Heres my cardomain site - http://www.cardomain.com/id/joejoesws6

As far as whats been goin on, I lost that job in the beginning of January 4, 2004... I've been working at Sears since. I'm in the electronics department so I can make a pretty penny with commission and all. Put some longtubes on my '93 and then it decided to crap out on me, and I didnt feel like messing around with it anymore, so I sold it in October, bought my WS6 in December for $13,500

LoL. WOW, well sign up on the v8 havoc forum when you get the chance bro. I'll add your new ride to the car club site tonight.

Joe, I'll work on one for ya dude

Blake, there is going to be enough people there for the meet for sure. 30+ people already said they were going to try to make it. So unless the weather turns to crap it will probably be a good turnout.

Well let's see, it's straight up noon and I'm just now getting moving. It's cloudy out and the streets are wet. Just poked my head out the door and it's not to warm out there and my guess is that over in Chi-town it's no warmer. Dammit! Looks like I'm punkin out. Welp, I guess there'll be other times. I deffinetly want to try and make it to the dyno day. Perhaps the 94 will be back in action then?
Anyways, sorry I'm not gonna make it Mike.

Dang you guys missed it

http://www.v8havoc.com/meets/march/march.htm

Check out the car club site, we post monthly meets all the time. Some in the area some not. But since the weather is nice, I want to try to get some kind of car hangout going. Especially when the cruise nights and car shows start back up.

We have a meet this saturday in Indiana, if you your up for it.
