I'm in chardon and would also be interested in meeting up someplace's. Thompson Dragway, Norwalk,or maybe Nelsons Ledges Race Course <- 2 mile road course. They have fundays( all street cars welcome, you need a rollbar If you run a convertible ), though it cost's $100 per day, plus fuel, I think that would be a blast. You'll need to get a track license, but it is'nt to difficult as long as you know how to drive. 140 on the back straightaway, WOOHOO!!

I think next year, I'm gonna try to get to Nelson Ledge's for one of their Fundayz (although there are a couple left this year...hmmm...any takers). For $100 you get to race around the a real street course. I wanted to go this year but was too busy. Check it out!http://www.fastone.com/Nelson99/Nelson99.html

I'm counting the days 2nd week of april. I've been to 42 and Norwalk. At Norwalk the track is pretty good for Test and tune but there is usually a lot of people, lots of nice cars. Last 2 times I was there, I was able to do a max of 4 passes. Dragway 42 is not as nice but I did about 10 passes in a couple hours, it is a lot less crowded. I want to go to 42 first and practice because I still suck then go to norwalk.

Well Gentlemen I came back from Dragway 42 with a smile. Praise be to the Lord! I finally broke into the 13's. This was my 3rd time to the track. I still can't drive but I'm improving. There is room on my E.T. for 13.2-3. The Car is completely stock except the air filter. I'm not planning mods until the driver (me) is consistent. Should be soon though! I also met Chris down there. Here is my best e.t. 13.712@ 104.68 mph unfortunately it was also my last for the night.

Well went and came back. The place was packed. I was hoping I would be able to practice but only got to do one run and after 2 1/2+ hrs. of waiting it sucked. Fortunately there were a nice assortment of Fbodies, Few TA and a couple camaros and of course LS1Source's Project TA running mid 10s. It was fun despite the lack of track time.

Planning going to the track in 2 weeks after suspensions mods are in. We may go to Norwalk but not sure yet if anyone interested let me know.

I just drop My car off to my mechanic about an hour ago. The are working late working on Dodge Stealth (tranny rebuild). Glad I did my reaserch and went with the firebird instead of a 3000GT VR4 (no flames please). They are gonna get stuff bolted on tommorow and hope to be done by friday afternoon. So I'm definately going in to test everything. May be I can snach my mechanic's slicks since it looks like his car is not going to be ready to go.

you bought a mexican built cavalier. check the vin. if it begins with a 1 it was built in lordstown ohio. (where i work) if it starts with a 3 it was built in mexico. how do i know? all of the mexican ones have racing stripes. i just found out myself a couple of days ago. it is possible that the dealer added them but chances are good it was built south of the border.

I thought they were built in Lordstown. I'll check the vin and find out when the wife gets home. Come to think about it, the stripes were dealer added, because it wasnt on the window sticker it was another piece of paper next to it showing the dealer added them and the extra amount

Ok seeing that this is now probally the most viewed thread on fbody, I am having a cookout on Saturday Sept.4, 2004. Was already having one cause its my bday, and for labor day weekend. I live in Brecksville. It will start about 4 pm. I would love a good turnout, I have 4 acres of land and my driveway is about 1/8 mi long so I can fit quite a few fbods in my yard. Plus will be an awsome time for some photo opps, lots of good scenery, if anything there is a park right down the street. For anymore info [directions my number etc...] email me at AMERICNMSCLE98TA@aol.com. There will be food and drink, if you want to stay and get smashed I got plenty of room, but if you have a high tolerance like me BYOB. Will probally have a fire going at night. Just gonna be a good time to hang out, finally all of us meet and talk about our rides and whatever else.

Another option is if you want to stay over because house is kinda filled, either a, if you got a tent, bring it, like i said I got 4 acres... plenty of room, or b, there is a motel right around the corner from my house not even a minute that is only like $35 a night, If so if you want to stay there and not drive drunk we can get you a ride to that, there will be some sober people here, but come on guys [and girls] I want to get this thing pretty damn big, would like to fill up my yard with fbodies. If anything on Sunday whoever stays over we can find a car show to go to.... or are there any tracks open that day???

Ok if anyone wants to come from farther away I just talked to the people at the Tally Ho hotel around the corner from me. They said if we get 5 rooms they will give them to us for $25 a night. So if its kinda of a haul for you I got a cheap place for you to crash, and like I said it is very very close.
