out for a spring race Posted By: Dpitts88 On: 05-12-2008 @ 23:03:58 Reply | Edit So it just now got some what nice enough to pull my car out of storage here in indy. i picked it up at night and ran it over to the barn to store til i can put the truck up for summer. the next day my friend who had just purchased a 94 camaro LT1 with the auto in it wants to race me thinks hes faster cause we have the same engine. BS so we take them out to the back roads. now he has a dynomax muffler and a moroso CAI. i have under drive pulleys, K&N CAI, BORLA cat back, MSD igniton, TB bypass and a couple other little things all followed up by a 6 speed trany. so we gat to the back road and hes talkin alot of shit how his car was so fast and i am thinkin wat ok ok i let u think that. we line them up and he hits the horn 3 times and we take off i spin hard but i forgot to take trac control off and i immedatley grip he doesnt have the ASR button and he spends even harder. so we call it a draw and find a better road with a little less debris now this time tis for real. we line up agian he hits the horn 3 times but starts to roll on the second honk. any ways i go on with the race and take off at about 2 grand i cant launch the car to good yet. i mat it in 1st right before i hit second. then i got a about half a car. by the time i was shifting in to 3rd he was a couple links behind. at the end of the race i had him whipped by at least 6 cars. its amazing that ppl cant tell the difference between wats fast to them and whats truly fast cause my car isnt that fast at all compared to some of the other cars he could of lined up with and totaly been smoked.
