ok. my friend just bought a 1992 accord 2door with an H22 type S (honda race motor.) the weight diff. is like 500-700lbs. the motor has 220hp...the road we are racing on is from dead stop, bout an 1/8 mile...then a nice S turn...then a 1/4 to the lightpost....(roughly). i dont know, i heard those cars have nasty top ends...is VTEC really that nice? the car spins 8 grand...what am i lookin at? --

Racing around turns involves a much different form of skill than drag racing not to mention suspension. It really doesnt matter how much power you have if your car is on stock dumpy suspension. -- Former ride: 531RWHP/477RWTQ Only bolt ons! ...technically everything used a bolt to install

Im not worried. And for other people, this will be at like 2am.
Guys ud have to see this road to understand. The S really isnt that hard...and i got that straight afterword... ive lost 2 friends (motorcycle reasons) but i know what its like..im not gonna endanger other people. im not taking lives with me...ur like my f-body dads here haha.
its just there are 10 people in on this bet including me and my dad...and 8-10 took the import...i knew factory for factory it wouldnt be a problem, but with the slight mods and the weight difference i didnt wanna assume and loose...ill let u guys know what happens.

Let's think about this for a second. You guys are going to run nearly half a mile wide open at 2am. How in the hell are you going to know that you aren't going to hit anything? Deer? Raccoon? Drunk guy?
Do you have any idea what kind of speeds you'll be running and like 25th said there's debris on the road I'm sure. you'd be runnin well over 100 at the end since you're still carrying speed through the S turn.
My point is this is a dumb race like many other street races. You'll know who's faster by 70mph or less there is no sense to streatch it out this long. You buddy wants to show his skills, then tell him to autocross. There is no way to justify this race. I don't care who you are, it's dumb. --

25th,
sorry bro that was complete sarcasim(sp?)... I thought i was hitting the sarcasim key on my keyboard but then found it was not functional while i was on the web.
sweriously though, if you're gonnastreet race, just a short sprint to about 60~70 will determine who was quicker. --

First of all .. Hondas are like tampons ... every pussy has one. Second, Street Racing is illegal and dangerous... under no conditions should you be doing that crap. Take it to the track because time slips dont lie. These post are under DRAG RACING not STREET racing. There's a difference. Take to the track or leave it in the garage if you plan on racing. -- www.slowtimemotorsports.com
