Ran an LS1 tonight

Posted By: 25thmustang On: 03-19-2010 @ 00:14:48         Reply | Edit
Alright so I never really street race. Never been into it, never felt safe enough to do it. But tonight on my way home from a LONG day I was driving down the highway near a red Z28. Stock wheels, I think 6-speed. He was a ways up after messing with a 60s Mustang, so I thought no dice. Sure enough he slowed up and I got near him.

First time we went it was just a go sort of thing, hit it and run. I was in 2nd ran it till somewhere in 4th. He was just past my rear bumper from what I saw. The next time we hit it we got the light red but on approach it went green. I dumped it into first and tried to come to a stop for it. We hit it again, I spun a lot in first, hit second and had to pedal it back a little. I assume he was spinning to as he didn't walk by when I did this. Ran it through most of 4th with him maybe slightly further behind than the other race.

All in all better then I though I would do with an LS1 car. Gave the guy a thumbs up and wave and got it back. Good to see a tight race with no sore people in the end (I am the kind that doesn't mind a win or loss, just enjoy playing).

RSM or BSM you know this guy? Stock looking red Z28, guy had a blonde girl with him, maybe an exhaust maybe not?

It definately wasn't him, me and him know eachother and that would not have been the outcome, but the car looked identicle to his!

LOL, it's funny when you tell about a race and the find out that the other guy "saw it happen differently". I beat a car on video and then found out he told some of my friends that he had beaten me. He didn't know that they knew me and had seen the video already, lol. Oh well, I don't care either way. Like you said, win or lose I just wanna have fun.

Yeah, I mean I might have the car lengths wrong or he might say I jumped, or he short shifted, or he won by 15 lengths, idk. I will readily admitt a loss or a win, I do it for the abuse on the car and the fun. I'd rather lose a tight race (which I did tonight to my friends HCI fox) than win a murder.

Yeah not sure if the guy is new to the area or what the deal is, I thought it was RSM at first but figured when he didn't flag me down or whatever it was someone else. Then when I saw him I knew it was someone I didn't know.
