I am a F-body owner and a huge drag racing fan. I also happen to work at a drag strip in South West Virginia. The track is called Elk Creek Dragway and is sanctioned by the IHRA. We are located in Elk Creek Virginia which is between Roanoke, Virginia and Bristol, Tenneesse. We are also close to Beckley, West Virginia and Mt. Airy, North Carolina. We are an 1/8 track that uses a state of the art Compulink timing system. We feature Test & Tune on Friday nights, unlimited test runs for $10, and bracket racing on saturdays. We welcome racers of all experience levels and have a class for almost every car. If anybody is interested in visiting our track you can visit our website www.elkcreekdragway.com or post a reply with whatever additional information you would like to know. No I didn't put it in there, I heard that it has some problems from time to time so I thought I would just give it a post. Its a great place to race, I went there to watch before I ever started working there. Its run by the racers who race there so you don't have to worry about politics you can just go and race and have a good time. I personally am responsible for entering car numbers and dial-ins and for the timing system so i can promise you that everything will be accurate. -- 1999 Black Z-28 Camaro, 6-Speed, SS Ram Air Hood, Borla Cat-Back, J&M Strut Tower Brace, K&N Filter [ Edited on 05/31/2007 @ 13:59:16 ]
