Track and a street race tonight. Posted By: RedScreaminMachine On: 03-17-2010 @ 01:20:01 Reply | Edit Well, first off, I didn't get a new best, but I ran pretty well. 2.15 60' eww 8.14 @ 91.89 mph 1/8 12.39 @ 116.1 mph 1/4 1.95 60' eww again 7.98 @ 91.17 mph 1/8 12.25 @ 115.62 mph 1/4 I only got to make 2 runs. There were more cars there tonight then I've ever seen in my life. I got there early and the line to get teched in was out into the street. Once we were in the lanes, they quickly filled up and then the line to get back into the lanes was all over the pit area. It was just plain silly. Given all that, I'm not suprised that I was a little off my best. Still respectable I think. I'm definitely planing a new round of mods. Nothing major, but I'm hoping it will put me solidly into the 11's. I'll keep you guys informed. On the way home, I ran into a group of kids that were coming back from the track (all had numbers on their cars, but I don't remember seeing them). One looked like an LT1 Z28 and they waved at me as they passed. It had ground effects and an SS hood, with a big spoiler. I thought it might be a good race so I got up next to them and we both took off. Judging by the race I'd say it was a V6. They were cool and got next to me again and gave me the thumbs up. Right after that, their friend in a turbo Subaru got next to me and we went at it. Once again, it wasn't much of a race, but at least they tried. I was there too, and your right, it was nuts. I didn't get my third run in until 10:30, and by that time the track was so cold I almost lost it. I'm suprised I didn't see ya there, I usually try to make the rounds and see what the other f-body guys are up to, but there were so many cars I was bound to miss a few.
