Went to the track last night!

Posted By: fergymoto On: 08-19-2014 @ 10:12:56         Reply | Edit
Last night I went to Quaker City Raceway.

Some of you may have seen my previous post where I ran 12.80. I was a little disappointed with that for my mods. Not to worry, last night I achieved a new best. This was on Fuzion ZRi tires I need some slicks or radials.

60': 1.77
330': 5.05
1/8: 7.85
MPH: 87.74
1000': 10.19
1/4: 12.29
MPH: 110.07

The car still has the damn misfire I can't figure out. My Fuddle converter also feels too loose. I need to get a few things straightened out then I am hoping for 12.10s or 11.90s

Nice run man. That's right where you should be, and with some more traction you'll be close to 11's. BTW, that is a good 60 ft time though, how did you get it that low with out sticky tires? Anyway nice work!

I was brake stalling it on the line to roughly 2k RPMS and all I did when the last yellow light hit was let go of the brakes. I wasn't nailing it till probably 15 feet out. It worked pretty good.

Good times! You'll definitely drop a bit more off the time with some slicks.

Great 60' for street tires. I will be trying your method when I finally get to the track, although I won't plan on coming close to that. Nice job!

I've checked out those Fuzion ZRi tires before. They are very sticky for a non drag radial tire. I guess this proves that they work pretty well.

I'll admit they do actually tack up after a burnout. Good inexpensive tires!

If I had to pick a set of street tires (not drag radials) I'd definitely get them. From what I remember they have a very good amount of tread on them too.

They did have a tall tread on them when new. I never measured it. Cool thing is, my car had these tires on the rear of it when I bought it. If it hadn't I never would have known. So I bought front ones for it too

Are you on stock displacement or running a 383. I only ask because those are some insane numbers for a stock displacement motor.
