Not a win, but my coolest race yet!

I was cruising to my girlfriend's house yesterday when I see a silver car approaching fast. At first I thought it was a new Z06, but it turned out to be a new Viper (500hp). I quickly got up next to him after he passed me and I motioned to see if he wanted to race. He nodded and motioned for me to take the jump. His mistake, I took off from a 60mph roll and walked away good with him barely able to stop my pull nevermind pull back. I beat him by 1-1/5 to 2 cars. So he definitally wanted to go again so we lined up after slowing to 50mph. He counted down and we hit it. He pulled a 1/2 car off the start and then it stayed that way until 110mph. We lined up once more from a 40mph roll. He counted down and then we went. Same result, him getting 1/2 a car right away and then it stayed that way until 110ish.
I was definitally psyched, and he slowed and rolled his window down. He asked if I had a supercharger and I said no. He said, "Well I know that thing ain't stock". I laughed and told him it had a cam and some bolt-ons. "Awesome car," he said and then he gave me a thumbs-up which I returned and then we went our separate ways.
Very awesome race!
Later on I raced TorqueMonster, who bought my 1993 TA, but I'll let him tell you how that race went -- Red 2002 Camaro Z28 M6 with Hurst shifter, T-tops, Leather, 12 CD Changer; Ram Air Scoop, SLP Lid, K&N Filter, Smooth Bellow, Borla Exhaust, Dynatech Long Tube Headers, Off Road Pipes, BMR Adjustable Torque Arm, BMR Rear Lower Control Arms, Nitto Drag Radials, 3.73 gears, FAST 78mm TB, SPEC 3 Clutch, Pro 5.0 Shifter, ESP1 cam, Comp springs, TR Pushrods; Dyno: 420 RWHP, 374 RWTQ; best track time: 12.17 @ 117.9 mph, 2.05 60'

I wouldnt say it was a race, more like an annihilation. We were crusing side by side at like 50 or so and I was waiting for the 3 horn beeps to go. Thing is, my cut out was open, so I couldnt hear a thing, not even my friend in the passenger seat. Then RSM takes off so I step on it it to WOT but there was no hope. It was fun though, my first real race with the T/A. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Didnt meet to hijack your thread RSM -- Black 1993 Trans Am, A4, 3.23 gears

Awesome race, your car seems to be running awesome with that new cam in it. What are the specs on it? Any plans for porting the heads or getting an aftermarket set? Your cars putting down a ton of power now, couldn't imagine what you would get with a set of heads on top of that combo. -- 94z28 13.0@109 (still tweaking) best 60ft:2.22

shitty home port job. Guy did the exhaust ports and left the intake ports ("didn't have gaskets to match them on" ..lol. Then i took them to another place and had them do a 3 angle valve job, resurface the deck, and clean it up a little more. I dont know my cars got a lot of problems so I'm slowly trying to figure stuff out with it. It should be a lot faster than what it is but I usually do the work myself or with a friend. -- 94z28 13.0@109 (still tweaking) best 60ft:2.22

Good luck getting it running like it should be. I know from helping BSM how difficult it can be to get a car dialed in like it should be. All the work will definitally make it feel better everytime you smoke the car in the next lane! -- Red 2002 Camaro Z28
