another mustang bites the dust

Well..kinda, but fun none the less. I was headed to the casino lastnight cause I was pretty bored and as I was headed there I could see headlights coming up behind me pretty quick. He came cruising up on me then slowed down next to me. Turned out to be either a 99 or an 04 gt mustang because I could see the anniversary badges on the side. So I downshift into third at around 65 mph (should've shifted into second and I would've pulled hard.) and then he downshifts and I can't even hear my car by then cause his is so damn loud. I let him hit it first, so he punches and then I take off, and to my surprise it takes a second to reel him in and pass him. I hit about 110 and slowed down. Thats the only thing I don't like about a highway roll is that it's so quick to get over a 100+ mph. This mustang was pretty quick though, usually their top end is horrible. I didn't get to talk to the guy cause he headed to the border to Canada, so I don't know what was done other than what sounded like a full exhaust system.

Thanks. Yeah so get this...I go to Canada the other night for dinner with my girlfriend and some other friends. On the way back I pull up to the customs booth, and the customs officer stares at me for a minute and smiling the whole time. He says, "were you messing around with a black mustang the other night?" I didn't quite know how to respond. So I just said ummm what do you mean? He says, well I own the black mustang, haha. He was really cool, I guess it has a lot of bolt ons, not sure of what the though besides exhaust and gears. I didn't get to talk to him long cause there were people waiting in line behind me. I thought that was pretty funny though.

That's cool. It's always nice to be able to talk to the guy you race afterwards.

Yeah I know it. My friend has an 04 with all the bolt ons and a cam and he had it tuned on a dyno, its the quickest gt I've ever come across. I can still take him but its really close. Hes ordering an NX system for a 100 shot setup. I should be getting smoked pretty bad after thats installed, can't wait to ride in it though.

LOL, I've seen a stroker 2-valve 4.6 only make like 335 rwhp. Not sure what the norm is, but I'd kill myself if I had a stoker only making as much as a cam/bolt-on LT1.
