Raced 72 (I think) Nova

Posted By: superchomper2003 On: 03-18-2010 @ 22:15:50         Reply | Edit
Ok it was my friends dad and he has a 3000 stall, 4.11 gears. and I helped build the motor thats in it wich is a 350 with stock ported heads, i think the cam lift is 485 intake and 485 exhaust but not shure about the duration, cant remember intake, and trp 10:1 comp pistons feeding into a dual 3" flowmaster exhaust, well we line up down the road from his house (witch is also right down the road from my house) and race and its going about even at first till his car falz on its face. I dont think the pump was pumping right and the carb sucked the bowls dry. We dove back to his house and sat there talking about it for bout 15 mins and then two state troopers pulled up cus we were reported drag racing. Ohh and we had recoreded it to and they watched it on camera. Turn out that they where pretty cool and talked to us about racing and just sed that we gotta do it sumwhere else where we wouldnt get reported. We sed thanks and by and they left. Just pisses me off cus i know who reported us cus this guy sat down the road and watched it. What realy pisses me off though is cus the people that live arround here are just like us and dont car but this guy didnt even live arround there. I mean what the hell is this loozerz problemb it was a stretch of road in the woods with no houses or traffic??? Well just needed to vent and thanks for reading guys. Im ready to race him when he gets it running right.

Sounds like fun, but I know what you mean about wanting to race him again. Somehow, it just doesn't feel like a good win when you beat somone because their car isn't running right.

Yeah exactly but it is so beautiful (not saying that urs isnt) it freshly painted black with like blue i guess you call them gost flames and it looks great. The whole car is perfect and was running great when we pulled the old motor out it was in the low 10z but he wanted it more streetable so that is why we built this motor. But like I say im not shure about the years on those cars because I dont know alot about them.

92 firebird with Built 350 including wailand intake summit cam (485 intake and 485 exhaust duration not shure)Holly headers and carb, ported heads, with edelbrock 100 shot, and Magnaflow dual exhaust and 17x9.5 rear and 17x8 front Torq Thrust II rims. Soon to come is a standard tranny and 4.11 gears, also some better heads although im not shure what kind I will get and a stroker bottem end. I built this car from the ground up and love it more than just about anything.
