I'm a new guy and have a good street drag story for ya. i was out cruising on one of my local cruise spots when a lower 90's mustang 5.0 rolled next to me at a light i'd seen him before and he had a 5 speed to my auto and nitrous to my n/a 3.8 V-6 but nonetheless we went at green he took the launch but i grabbed ground when he missed his shift into 2nd and by 3rd we were side-by-side then 4th i had a car length on him by the time i had a buck and some change on the speedo. he hit the N2o and left me hangin but UUHH to all ya'll 5.0s a V-6 with headers, cold air, cat-back and a programmer smoked you in an auto

no most 5.0s will smoke a 3.8 car all day long. The auto ones seem slower tho. You sure he sprayed over "a buck and some change" because thats about the time your car will hit its speed limiter.

I have a govoner eliminator so the car stops when i stop and it was about a 100 and yeah i'm sure unless he has a turbo that doesn't kick in until triple-digit-speeds(that was sarcasm) but yeah i'm definately sure he sprayed unless he wasn't trying then that would just piss me the hell off but i would like to believe that he was it makes me feel better

^^ I've run with several 5.0 and early 4.6 Mustang GT's including a cammed 5.0 in my 01 firebird 3.8L and several 4.6's at the track. I had intake, exhaust and gears and thats it.

One of these days I will buy a 4th gen and NOT run the miles up on it Like they say, 3rd time's a charm.

I also took out a few older 5.0's and 4.6's when I had my V6, if they had any work though, I'm talking just intake and full exhaust, I was toast but I beat a few stock ones. Good kill man

I stayed dead even with one. It was a 1990 m5. He pulled from a red light ripped second and I was behind him(at the light). I stomped it and went to 65 mph and he didnt pull away one bit....
What makes this even better is that I was driving a chevy...a 2000 Cavalier Z24 M5.
Ya,there you go,beastie mustang
Dead even with a 5.0....pretty cool
Doing it in a Cavalier.... priceless.
