Me and my best friend were cruisin around the other night and we saw a new neon with like $400,000 in looks so we thought this would be a good laugh, by the way we were driving in a '99 Grand Cherokee with an Inline 6 in it. We got up next to the guy and start to punch it, needless to say it's not the fastest thing in the world, so the kid didn't do anything and then after some major raggin on he finally punched it, if that's what you call it, and we just smoked him. He finally pulled up beside us and we told him we'd give him a head start so he took of, if that's what you call it, and after we let him get about 3 car lengths ahead we took off and after about 100 feet we were about a car length ahead. We were laughing at him so hard that he finally turned off and took off down a side street. We saw the kid a couple days ago and he took off down a back street again before we could get to him. I love smoking stupid little ricers. This is one reason I miss my car so much. I'm cool to guys with american muscle but I'm a d**k to guys with ricers. -- Muscle Car Man!!!

Not to be mean or anything but you guys started it with that guy. So what he has a whole lot of bling and spent all his money on the looks. So what. I dont care bout those guys.
The ones who deserve it and are indeed "ricers" who do all that work, OR none of the work and the car looks like a rat and tries to race you!! Then they dont understand why they lost or keep trying... He in my opinion is a ricer, a person who doesnt know any better.

Yea we started it! And proud of it. I don't care what kind of ricer it is, a ricer is a ricer to me. I'm a muscle car man and used to have so many ricers try to mess with me when I was in my car so now I'm just kinda hate all ricers and pick on them whenever I get the opportunity. Sorry if you don't feel the same. -- Muscle Car Man!!!

Sure did, I was there and know what I saw. It was about the slowest damn car I've ever seen, so believe whatever you want but I was there. BlackScreaminMachine, I sold my car last fall and I definately still wish I had it but thanks for being with me on the ricer issue! -- Muscle Car Man!!!

Yeah 4 cars in 100 feet is kinda hard to believe. If that's true, I really think I could run on my own 2 feet faster than that car was moving. --

Not to "take sides", but a Grand Cherokee is roughly 17' long. Four car lengths is roughly 70'.
To sum this story up, the 4000lb Grand Cherokee went 100' while the 2700lb Neon went 30'. Given there's a difference in hp, but there's a HUGE difference in weight as well.
If the Cherokee is modded and runs 10's in the quarter and the stock neon was hauling a full load of bricks in the trunk I'd believe it.
I personally don't have a problem with people who clear out the accessory isle at Walmart and put two of everything on their cars... it's when they obnoxiously insist their altered POS is superior to an F-body that I may show them how many thousands of dollars they still need to spend. They are the ricers of the import world.
The opposite extreme includes V8 guys who pick races with kids in order to prove their 300hp ride is faster than the kid's 100hp import. Not saying this directly about you, but I would feel like the biggest a$$ in the world if that's what got me off.
Clif notes: Few F-bod guys object to giving a lesson in reality to a delusioned ricer when prompted... we generally don't go out and instigate races with cars that have 1/3-1/2 the power simply to humiliate the kid driving. -- -Scott

No, when I had my car I didn't mess with the 16 year old kids that were just trying to go home or to work or something, the major one's I messed with were the kids that provoked me. In my car I really liked showing the cocky ones what I had but it didn't do anything for me to mess with the kids that didn't even wanna race. I didn't really mind the kids that just wanted to see what my car had and told me that they wouldn't win but just to see how they compared. -- Muscle Car Man!!!

Just so you know, a "ricer" is a person, not a car.
It sounds like this guy wasn't provoking you as you claim they always did when you had your car. I too get a good laugh when I see some car all done up with every stupid accessory they make for it (and some they don't), but I'm not a dick unless they start it. This seems like one of those cases where he didn't start it. -- Red 2002 Camaro Z28

I once ran a winged out ricer from a stoplight w/ my wife's '97 expedition. I kept up w/ him but didn't beat him. Side by side all the way to about 70. Then my wife made me shut it down. She said I was nuts and I agreed. Wished I had had my Z. --

I'm with you 98supersport, I would hate to pick on kids that don't have any money to feel good about myself. Now, that being said, if they came up to me or throw a rev. at me, or talk smack, I'll do what I can to persuade them to re-think their position.
