I can't buy a race when I'm driving my turd gen. I've pulled up to lights lately next to C6 Vette's, a Caddy XLR, even a Supra, can't even get the time of day, go take my dad's LT4 Vette for a spin and wouldn't you know it, I'm not in the car for more than a minute and this guy in a TA is challenging me, funny one at that.

I pulled out onto the main road from my dad's place and before I pulled out into traffic I saw this red TA roll by, as soon as he passed I pulled out and ran thru the gears hard, pulling up behind him in the next lane to within a few cars. As soon as I got up close he signals and gets in the left turn lane, I went by going straight in third gear, magnaflows rumbling, grabbing his attention as I went by.
I proceeded down to the next intersection and waited at the light for about 30 seconds and turned left onto a three lane road. As I was turning in the inside lane I caught this red car out of the corner of my eye, sure enough, it was the TA. Dude must have blew thru the left he was going to make and followed me to the next light. We were heading up a long straight hill, so I waited for him a little, he took some time, but finally he pulled up next to me in the far lane, as soon as he got up, I dropped into third and nailed it. Started to pull him slightly over the course of the run, but didn't put more that a car or two on him all the way to about 100. When I got out of it, he pulled up next to me, guy was easily 45+, with all grey hair. I gave him the thumbs up and turned off. I imagine it was a LS1, (I can't tell the diffence with the 4th gens) or a modded LT1. Just wish I had my TA, but then again he never would have followed me
