I like reading the racing stories and was just wondering if anyone has reaced these cars...(not asking if I can beat them ).
Acura 3.0CL
Prelude VTEC(92-01)
Grand Am GT
Non Turbo Supra
Mazda MX-6
Talon(non turbo)
Pretty much asking if any SIXXERS have raced them... ..8's would have no problem.

You should walk the Grand Am GT.
But your going to see tail lights on a late model, non-turbo Supra.

Eeeeeeh I wouldn't say all that. The supras have more hp, but less tq, but also weigh less, so it would be a drivers race...OR if the supra is an auto you should win, because auto supras suck. Acura CL would probably be another close one...similar power but lighter...the rest you should have no problem with.. --

I was asking if anyone raced one! I like hearing stories about fellow sixxers racing! Those are just cars I have seen around my town and never raced. I'm gonna wait till I attach some balls to my V6 before I race.

Acura 3.0CL: 200 horses... 195 torque. 3250 or so in weight... so that would be a CLOSE race
Never raced one
Prelude VTEC(92-01): 97+ preludes had 200 horses as well. i think that would have a chance at taking you, but i think it would be a drivers race. the 92-96 you will win.
Raced a 92 to 96 in my 3.1 camaro and got a car lead and he started pulling slowly but wasnt enough until we had to hit the brakes. a 3800 should have no problem
Grand Am GT: 180 horses and about the same weight. you shouldnt have a problem.
Raced one of these with my V6 as well. he slowly walked me until i got pissed and did a 5000 rpm launch and finally beat him (yes i know thats bad, i still get crap for it)
Non Turbo Supra: MKIII made 205 horses i think. could be a close race but a lot of those cars are old and are either strong runners or dogs.
Raced my friends old turbo MKIII and he beat me by a little... but he didnt know how to drive. a 3800 would have taken him.
Mazda MX-6: the 2.5L V6 would be a close race... he might edge out on you. i also have a probe with the 2.5L and i know it would walk away from my 3.1 camaro. i dont know about a 3800 though. could be close
Talon(non turbo): SLOW... a stock turbo one would maybe be a good race. --

I think my sisters 95 bird 3.4 will eat both there lunches. It amazed me w/ a nice burnout one day for it being stock w/ 130k miles. -- If Jack helped you off the horse, would you help Jack off the horse?!?!?

I have a 93 Grand Am GT with the quad 4 HO. That car will smoke my 94 camaro. But the grand am is a 5 speed and the camaro is a 3.4 with an a4, might be a better match up if the camaro had a 5 speed.

I will race him with a few more mods just to "ensure" victory!

I had a friend who had a '98 Acura CL 3.0 A4, and that thing was a POOCH and a HALF! Seriously, I wouldn't worry about that car at all if you have a 3.8L. If the CL is a 5 speed, it might be a bit quicker, but good God was the automatic slower than balls. -- '98 Trans Am WS6 M6 Mods - http://www.fbody.com/timeslips/member.cgi?id=747

I've raced the V-tech Prelude w/a nearly bone stock 96 v-6 firebird w/only a cheap exhaust. I was pretty much head to head with it, he came up from behind and got about a half a car lenght on me, then i caught up and kept up. I've also stomped a non turbo talon my friend has with the same car and also after slightly modifying my car. Also have beaten earlier Grand Am GT's, never raced a newer one.
I have a 96 Firebird w/T-tops. 5 speed, Borla exhaust, magnaflow cat, K&N intake, B&M short shifter.
