Just wanted to say hello! I just joined and had a few questions/opinions. I just got a project car last week ..a 92 Red RS camaro. I'm looking to make a bracket car out of it and was looking for a few suggestions. The car has the motor and Trans removed, so I'm looking for a good combo.

I've been out of the loop for a while and not really sure what all the new "code words" are...LS1, LT1, vortec....Last I remember is the L88??? (showing my age, maybe)I understand these are the RPO codes but what are they.... 305 , 350, HO's ? Have they changed the heads... I know they have all gone to the EFI, but I'm an old highrise/carb guy. I'm thinking about junkyard search for truck blocks. Maybe get lucky and find a PG...Yeah right! : :

I saw a book in Jegs Catalog from Quikie Racing about how to build a low buck 11 sec. fbody. Anyone seen that one. From what I remember and what I've searched it takes some bucks to go that fast. any thoughts???

welcome, dont worry ill help you learn all the rpo's im an old school kid i know L88's ls5's & 6's L78's Ls1's old and new Lt1's and the new school too
