Hes like nice car...blah..blah...blah.... we should race. So I ask him what hes got. Hes like "A z24, but i did the engine so its pretty fast." I told him that I was pretty sure i would have him and hes like "No way, i've got a 4.3. Whats that a 4.0?" My friend has a 2000 Z24, last sunday he ran a 13.1@106.5mph it still has stock engine, rods, pistons, etc. Just running 10lbs of boost with a greddy emanage and 12.5:1 a/f ratio. --

I'll be he works at Pep Boys part time too. But there is a guy running 12.59 with a rear mounted turbo Z24. He ran low 13s or high 12s on the stock motor and turbo. I had one, a 2000 with the GMPP supercharger kit. 15.1 @ 90 on worn out autoX tires and 95 degree ambient temps. Faster than a Cavvy had any right to be. But even still, no comparison to 400 cubes and driving the correct pair of tires  Maybe he had done a 3.4 swap into a 1st or 2nd gen? Certainly doable (actually, probably not that hard really). Still, unless he'd sunk a bunch of money in the 3.4, that's still only 160 HP (maybe a bit more if he did anything to it).
