Accuracy of a G-Tech

Posted By: RedScreaminMachine On: 03-20-2010 @ 09:02:35         Reply | Edit
I went to Englishtown yesterday with my Grand Prix (in sig). I decided to run my new G-Tech Pro SS and compare it to the timeslip. Results are as follows:

Timeslip.................G-Tech
60' 2.352...............60' 2.424
330' 6.644...............330' 6.654
1/8 10.234..............1/8 10.240
mph 69.06...............mph 70.16
1000' 13.302..............1000' 13.295
1/4 15.884..............1/4 15.874
mph 86.07...............mph 86.92

As you can see the G-tech was very accurate. I was shocked to see that it was this close. Just thought you might like to know.

Mine is the new design, it zeros itself and such, not like the old one that you had to pay with to get it zeroed. It may be more accurate then the old ones. I'm definitally pleased with the results.

the g-tech in my opinion is dead on,the only real difference is that you have to break the beam at the track to start the clock whereas the g-tech starts by inertia.
timing beams will be inaccurate for us cause there is NO WAY to stage the car in the same exact spot,(in the beam, that is)G-TECH rocks!

Its very easy to stage your car in the same spot every time in the beams.

Yeah, it isn't too hard to stage the same every time. The trick is to just take your time and not rush.

The instructions for the G-Tech say that it uses a 12 inch rollout to start just like the beams at the track and that helps make it more accurate.

Hey 350F, I see you have a WS6, who's Camaro is that? Both awesome cars.

That's very cool!

It looks great with that hood. I'm thinking about getting one for my Z28.
