<comments>This digging up 5 year old threads has to stop. Its really, really simple. If the thread isn t even have to bother looking at the dates that way. Simple right? If I see the same person dig up an old thread more then once, they are done. So beware of what you post to.

I just wanted to share with you a basic principle concerning modifications and horsepower/torque gains. Alot of people look at the Flowmaster muffler (for example) and see that it advertises giving you ,say, 10 horsepower. This simply is not the case. You end up in reality with like 5 to 7 horsepower and t</comments>

So I replaced the battery with a used battery. It wouldnt start the car. So i had it charged and things were fine for the evening. I could turn</comments>

<title>Firebird Radio Controls</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/v6/read.cgi?msgid=111336</link>
<comments>Will the Steering wheel radio controls on a 94 Firebird work with an aftermarket stereo? I d keep the stereo that is coming with the car, but my sony has an ipod interface, which makes things so much easier (radio sux these days), 4000 songs on shuffle :-).

<title>Oil Everywhere!</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/v6/read.cgi?msgid=111347</link>
<comments>Well I just went to start the car to see if it was making the noise i heard it making early. I took it around the block and started smelling oil. When I got home, i opened the hood and oil was everywhere! Keep in mind I know a fair amount about cars, but that is limited.

I looked down and near the oil filter something round that is about as big around as a quarter. It s burst and sprayed oil. What is this? How major is the problem?

<title>Buying a Firebird</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/v6/read.cgi?msgid=111321</link>
<comments> My 3.4 camaro is being sold tomorrow. I m no mechanic and would have to pay someone to fix the 3.8.

So basically I guess what I want to know is, would it cost a lot to replace the gasket? Im torn between the bigger engine and t tops.

Also, what year of trans am honey comb tail lights will fit on 94/97 Firebirds. I like the looks of them better than what they come with.
