My brother went as well with his 2002 Z28 and I took my 02 Z28. The cars are almost dead even whenever we race. I was able to beat him, but he got a new clutch and transmission, along with a new tune and that fixed a few problems and brought his car up to the level where mine is. His previous best was a 12.4 @ 116 mph spinning horribly on Nittos.
