<title>Tapping noise in LS1</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=85585</link>
<comments>So recently my motor started having a tapping noise come from it. I thought it could be just a lifter tapping, but normaly it goes away after 20-40 seconds right? Well mine goes on untill it gets to running temp. and even then it still taps a little bit under 1500rpms, anything above that it goes away. Does anyone know what it could possibly be, and have any solutions to it. If it is a lifter tapping would a thicker oil help it any, and if it is a lifter should I replace it or worry about it? <title>Rolled Rear Fenders ?</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=85424</link>
<comments>I am scheduled to have some 315 tires put on the rear end of my care on Thursday. I ordered the Nitto 555 tires. After I ordered the tires I was informed I need to roll the back fenders to accomidate the extra width. I went ahead and scheduled this for Thursday as well. The place doing the fenders is a reputable high performace shop. Does this sound normal? Has anyone had problems with this? </comments>

<title>Loss of oil pressure? and revving high?</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=85568</link>
<comments>I was drag racing yesterday and lost oil pressure, any idea what would cause this? Also my throttle seems to be stuck, it ll stay revved to like 2000 rpms even when in neutral and stopped, then will gradually settle down to about 1000 rpms. What could cause that? Any help is appreciated.

<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=79516</link>
<comments>have any of you had any problems with your engine starting? Mine does it every once in a while where it just sits there and spins, but never actually turns over. I just take the key out and open the door to shut the power off and try again. sometimes it takes 4 or 5 times to finally start. others it just takes one. anyone have any suggestions of what it might be and what I can do to fix it? anything will help. thanks very much in advance for any and all help.

<title>The problem with the GM 10 bolt 7.5 </title>

<comments>I am thinking about putting nitrous on my bone stock 2000 Z28 M6. But I am wondering if the rear end will hold up.

I am just curious if it is the same part that always breaks in these rear ends? If so can you buy stronger after market parts and make these rear ends strong again, or are they hopeless? I guess the main question is:
What exactly is wrong with these rear ends, and can it be fixed?

Thanks for your help guys,

<title>just bought my first LS1 car</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=85349</link>
<comments>i have owned several LT1 cars (94 z28, 95 impala, 92 vette, 95 vette, 94 z28) and loved them all. i recently bought a 98 z28 and i am really happy with it. its not perfect, but its in pretty good shape. 70k miles M6 for $7500. the first thing i want to fix is the stereo. it has the monsoon system with the cd changer in the trunk. all the speakers are blown and the changer doesnt work. i am not sure if i want to replace the whole system or not. will the monsoon deck work with after market</comments>

<title>Replacing Front Turn Signal</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=85413</link>
<comments>I got my oil changed the other day and between the time I dropped it off and picked it up my right front turn signal light blew. I had my firebird for 4 years and it never blew a one. What is the best way to replace it? Should I just do it myself, which I M6, SS Ram Air Hood, Borla Cat-Back, J M Strut Tower Brace, B M Ripper Shifter, Whisper Lid, Tint (50% front, 35% rear) Pics @ http://www.fquick.com/3p0ch</comments>

<title>Oil in my LS1</title>
<link>http://www.fbody.com/cgi-bin/ls1/read.cgi?msgid=85360</link>
<comments>I just bought a 99 TA. Used to own a 94TA. Kid I bought this one from has no idea what kind of oil was in it.
I am changing the oil this weekend, but I am a quart low right now.
Here is the options:
A.Put one quart of Mobil 10/30 Non-Synthetic
B.Put one quart of Mobil 1 Synthetic
C.Wait it out until Saturday.

Thoughts and reason. The car is not leaking oil at the moment. I have had it 2 weeks and have not seen a drop
Thanks guys/girls.
