That's what I did for my GTO. Took a really early flight out to Chicago with just my bookbag with essential road trip needs and drove back 13 hours that day. Was pretty sweet actually. -- Dave

I got 19+ with the LT4 (with hotcam) & 21+ stock LT1 (mixed highway & local driving).
Figure $200 for gas, tolls, & food should be more than enough.

That is a very messed up way of loking at it. Fly up the night after your last day at work. Buy the car first thing in the morning and it won't take more than 12 hours to drive back. You would be gone only one of your two days. I think flying would be the safest thing.

$200?
you said 840 miles right? thats 1680 miles round trip. lets say you average 20mpg. thats going to cost you 84 gallons of gas. at 3.49 a gallon, it would cost you 293.16 in just gas. now figure in like $40 for food. another $20 for tolls. your looking at almost a $400 trip. now if you fly, thats half the mileage. therefore half the gas. $146.58. BUT thats if your getting 20mpg. you may do better, but you may do worse. shoot big and bring $500 with you cuz my math says $400 to get out there and back -- 1987 Trans Am - 5.0 Auto - Flowtech Shorties - Flowmaster American Thunder - Spohn LCA's & Solid Sway Bars - Summit Drop Springs - SOLD

He said that he wasn't worried about the gas for the Acura 4 cylinder.
$200 to travel the 840 miles should be enough.
