Well I traded in my 2004 Grand Prix GTP for a 2005 BMW 545I. I must say its one hell of a nice car. It's loaded with everything you could think of, my only beef would be that it only has a single disk cd player.
However I don't know anything about BMW's.
If anyone can give any input positive or negative about the 545I it would be appreciated. --

Making payments, It is an automatic with the manual selection, I think they call it a manumatic or something like that. When you put it in manual it seems to really wake the car up.
The BMW is by far faster than the GTP. Handles and rides much better. Don't get me wrong the GTP was nice but this is so much more refined. --

The only BMW I would ever drive is an M6... and that's just because I don't think I'd drive it enough to get into any maintenance or repairs other than oil changes and tires. BMWs are nice, but they break retarded shit, and then the dealership fucks you to fix it. --

We need pics!
Dollar signs came to mind when I saw BMW, 'cause that's gonna be expensive when repairs are needed.
Good luck with the new ride Brian.

Whats the miles on it now?
How many miles you put on in a year?
What year is it?
They are nice cars, however, electrical issues do sneak up because everything in the damn car is controlled by multiple inboard multiplex's. Think of them as little computers that run a handful of things. Say for example one blinker goes out and it's traced back to a multiplex. It needs replacement. That part may be 700 because it also controls the guage cluster, odometer, and other interior/exterior lights. Brakes will cost alot also. The higher line of cars require that the rotors be REPLACED when changing brake pads. They don't recommend resurfacing the rotors because they are either already produced/manufactured at a thickness to thin for machining or the make-up and metal used is to "soft". Alot of outside shops/corner shops won't machine rotors from a high line vehicle because of this. Like I and others have said, nice car, but it will eventually cost some coin to maintain and repair. With all that being said, brakes usually last around 50-60k and I know quite a few people who have or still do own bmw's with little to know problems. Benz on the other hand...I would rather drive a hynduai.
Good luck with the new ride and Congrats -- Built by Allotta Performance 479.86rwhp/423.00rwtq

Its a 2005 and has 49K miles. I won't put to many miles a year on it do the fact I have a commuter car. It's more of a family car for trips. I will drive it to work occasionally and around town but it wont be my daily driver. Thanks for the input. --
