Driving through Athens AL last week and saw one sitting at the dealership waiting for its new owner to pick it up. Snapped a couple pics with my phone, very sharp looking ride.

It looks good. I think the average person will confuse it with the new Camaro. They look similar in areas.

Yes they will. I showed my girlfriend and room mate all 3 (mustang included) and they couldn't tell the difference.

I have finally started to get the girlfriend to notice cars, though. Just takes patience and finding the ones they like. She's all about solstices, knows everything about them.

PS Challengers still suck. If I wanted to drive an automatic tank, I'da called sherman.

my brother said one of the dodge dealerships in the town over got one and sold it for 10k over sticker and then he took and sold it for 10k over what he paid them. at least people arent getting riped off like with the gt500's the were getting sold for 20k over sticker.

I've decided that these cars flock to me. My bf agrees to! He's yet to see one... I've seen 3 different ones in the past week. All orange. I like them sept they're auto for at least this year, I think the mirrors stick out to much and its a chrysler product. As long as it's built like the 300/charger/magnum it should be fine though.

Posted By: mrcrazyhimself On: 07-05-2008 @ 16:02:00     Reply | Top | Edit
I like it alot actually. It has that retro look but more simple and pure and not trying so hard like the mustang and camaro do

Umm, yeah they are, you just described a Challenger getting sold for 20k over sticker and in the same breath said it's not as bad as GT500's going for 20k over sticker...

thye look fantastic, too bad that is all there is too it.

it is just the same as the other SRT8s with a slightly different body and a 6spd option

its still a pig of a grand cruiser and not a performance car, and that makes me sad.

Not a performance car? Is it not supposed to run about equal with an LS1 f-body stock for stock? Didn't Hot Rod magazine do a dyno test and 1/8 mile track test as well? If I remember correctly, it ran low 8's in the 1/8th mile and it pulled over 350rwhp on the dyno with simple bolt ons. How many grand cruisers can do that?

what's with the "hill start" feature. if you drive a manual transmission you should be able to start on a hill with out that feature or you have reason to drive a stick

look ok. I still like the new camaro better

Wow... Dodge's flagship car can finally keep up with a GM that's been out of production for 6 years. What a road burner...

I'm not sure what the performance #'s actually are, but the consensus I've heard is "underwhelming".
