i have to agree with Ryan here, if it wasn't for the Fast and the Furious, Nitrous Oxide wouldn't be as popular in the sport compact scene. and the best part is, nitrous systems are made by many companies. Already throws you back in the seat without the spray. now ricers: refer to the "big shot" as 30hp know nothing about it so its called "nawzzzzz" most of them who actually have the system, have never/and never will use it. 99% of ricers who have the NOS stickers, have no components. as for the hotrodder thing. ive been under the hoods of more real hotrods than most people on the internet. ive had all motor rides, forced induction, sprayed, electric, pedal powered fukking everything under the sun. and i can say that spray is the Best. the SS will 0-60 in 4.5 seconds on street tires, runs a 7.60 1/8th (soon to be lower) gets 28+mph highway, has AC and a good sound system, full power and has never had the valve covers off. now look at it this way, if i had an all motor setup to make the kind of power that my bottle does, i would have probably 10x the amount of money in it, and it would get shitty mileage and possibly not be very street able. as for the general consensus on N20, most people think its a way to tear up an engine and nothing more. they are under-educated on it, and have no knowledge other that what they see on TV, and the stories of their brothers' barbers best friends 2nd cousin knew some dude who saw someone blow an engine with it. someone wants to call it ricer? so be it, but ill bet they are the ones getting raped by bottle fed cars. I ran a 12.02 on a 125 shot in my WS6, I installed a cam and had it tuned, ran the same exact times all motor for about the same cost as a Nitrous kit. Still got 27mpg and still drove it every day of the week rain or shine. Today, as far as racing goes, you NEED some sort of power adder. The guys I run around with would laugh you out of the strip if you showed up with anything slower than a 10.20 ride and challenged them. I can name 5 turbo cars and prob another 5 S/C cars and umpteen N2O cars in our club. These are all REAL street cars too, with A/C and full power (well as much as they were equipped with stock) and they drive them every weekend too, no trailer queens. So basically IMHO the only babys who whine about bottles, ironically, are the ones without them. -- Nothing. Well, a '96 GMC 2500HD, 6.5 diesel, auto, and 167k miles. Extended cab, Long bed. Land yacht.

i agree about the only people crying about nitrous are the ones that dont have it. My buddy has a 02 ws6 and i spanked him in my lt1 on a 100shot. This was almost 4 years ago and he stills says i cheated. I always tell him hes just to scared to run it. -- Sold
