what happens if you do not pay an out of state ticket... Posted By: Tagz On: 05-12-2008 @ 22:53:16 Reply | Edit i'm from jersey, got a ticket in NYC. wrote it up for disobey signs. its like the first time i drove in the city... pretty crazy. pulled me over for making a left off of a street that you can not make a turn off of during certain times during the day. any who... the ticket is not registering when i try to pay it online. wht are the chances they never tell jersey --  Posted By: TigerZ On: 05-12-2008 @ 23:15:38 Reply | Top | Edit they will send ninjas after you!  not really but they can put a bench warrant out for you. Your DMV record is nation wide, the ticket will be on there, so it is on your record. If you dont pay they will issue a bench warrant. Im not to sure if the bench warrant can be seen outside of state lines. A bench warrant means they wont come after you, but if you get a pulled over by a dick cop he can actually arrest you and impound your car for a FTA (Failure to Pay) Usually you can just write that court and ask for a payments method of like 25-50 a month and theyll get off your back. Also, you can go to Traffic school every 18 months for any ticket. If he has a warrant out for his arrest then he deserves every bit of it It means you better not ever drive through there again.  In college we had a guy working for us that got arrested in New Orleans and he couldnt figure out why....turned out about 10 years before that he had gotten a ticket while living in Florida, but on a road trip that took him through New Orleans. He had forgotten about it and moved here.
