Got 2 passes in before the rain, bike is a BONE ASS STOCK 04 Hayabusa. First run I was a little to conservative and only mustered an 11.2 out of it. Second run I manned up a little bit and brought my 60' down to a 1.8 (still horrid I know) and snapped off a 10.82 @ 131.38 mph I'm pleased pro riders are getting 9.90's and they say if you get within a second of that your doing damn good. I believe with some pratice on my launch I could definately get a 10.50 out of her. Now we need to work on the 250lb rider -- Nothing. Well, a '96 GMC 2500HD, 6.5 diesel, auto, and 167k miles. Extended cab, Long bed. Land yacht.

A good 60' for that would be around 1.5, my launch needs work. 1.8 was good for my 12.0 @ 117 Firebird.
There's a very fine line, you've got to keep the rpms above 7k, or just hold it WOT, and slip the clutch enough to keep the wheel just above the ground, and not let it out to fast as you'll go over the back. not easy. -- Nothing. I know of some right off (04 'busa) that run 1.59 60' times. That is with power commander and exhaust, and air shifter, which doesn't do much for the 60' times.
A REAL drag bike (again, 04 'busa) does 1.450 at 60' running 1/8 mile.
Like he said, it is all in the clutch. Nothing scary quite like trying to take off on a big powerful bike.
Get the full potential to the ground... That is much easier to say than do.
Got any video of your runs? --

Yeah. I wish I had video footage the first time my little brother rode mine at the track. (He was accustomed to riding his GSZR600)
First time he pulled the front tire up about 3 ft at around 60' and let out. When he got back around he was shaking like it was -20 outside...
I told him he forgot to tighten the strap. Did that, next run he broke loose on the ass-end at around 60'. Let out... Came back around even worse. Said it was enough for him... -- 92 RS 5 speed. soon as it's decent for a weekend and I can ride up. at 4.20 a gallon for diesel I can't afford to drive to work, let alone anywhere for fun. Seriously, if I can't take the bike. I just don't go anywhere I don't NEED to go. Fuel costs are killing me -- Nothing. Well, a '96 GMC 2500HD, 6.5 diesel, auto, and 167k miles. Extended cab, Long bed. Land yacht.
