After a short debate between Aliens and Horror(supposed to be), we settled on seeing The Box
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809962998/info
After watching it, they should have named it "The Bore"
WTF
Really
Was this movie supposed to make any sense? One simple plot line over a moral issue becomes like 10 subplots which go precisely nowhere. They jump back and fourth randomly for no reason in particular. What was the point of the library scene? Why even go there? Whats with all the bloody noses conveniently running only when they reveal some critical information(aka pointless) to one of the adults? How did an easy moral delima turn into conspiracy and possible aliens? Why 1976? The cars all looked nice, but I highly doubt middle class Richmond of '76 was stocked ONLY with 65-80(yes some cars were newer than the timeline) hotrods. Whats with the acting? Did the director specifically go through and cut out all the lines that sounded convincing and replace them with improv?
Ex: Some character thats of no importance to the plot is babysitting the son. She starts hammering him with all sorts of specific sciency stuff about his dads job. Like how long does it take the probe to expose a pic, send it back, how to decode etc. And even better is the 10 y/o son knows all about it, and can even expound on MORE useless info about his dads job that in no way relates to the plot
Now, whats with half a face man? This isnt Batman, twoface isnt in this movie. Does it really matter if hes disfigured? Was the audience falling asleep so they needed a mix of Kreuger and Magneto to haunt their dreams?
One more thing
Cameron Diaz lost most of her toes. To fix that, her husband made a rubber flip-flop. Not bad for a rocket scientist who doesnt do shit with spacey stuff and gets mouth diarrhea when a new reporter asks about his top secret photo lens.
Gay...

That sucks. The previews made it look strange and POSSIBLY bad, but I still had a glimmer of hope for it.
I have really stopped going to see movies though. Very few of them justify the $10-12 for a ticket and then $8-10 for a drink and snack.
Producers need to start catering to 14-16 year olds. They have shown the inability to put out decent movies. 14-16 year olds are the only age group that NEED to go to the movies to have something to do/somewhere to go to finger mary jane rottencrotch through her purdy pink panties. --

Justin- I typed that without wasting my valuable time to analyze the movies that have come out in the past 10 years. I have better shit to be doing in the middle of the night. If you think they HAVE been catering to that age group, then I think that they should KEEP catering to that age group. OK? --
