I recently purchased a car with a 6-speed. I was wondering if it's normal for it to rattle when you disengage the clutch in first gear, in a low rpm (less than 1k). The best example I can give is that it sounds like the new years party toy that you spin around and it makes that noise. I know it sounds crazy but it sounds similar to that...lol. Flywheel loose causing chatter at low rpm's? Does anyone else experience this?

It sounds like it could possibly be a bad throwout bearing. The only way I know to tell would be to pull it apart and look though. Check all the obvious stuff like linkage, master/slave cyl. etc. and make sure nothing is loose or damaged.

Yea, it definitely feels sounds like a loose slush box...lol. The pinion seal needs to be replaced on the rear end too, which I've asked about as well. Can a worn seal cause movement in the drivetrain?

what I once thought was, is now no more.

Honestly, I don't think it has a aftermarket clutch. It's pretty much stock as far as I know of.

lol...thx for the heads up. I figured someone must have had or is currently having a similar situation. That and my analogy was just too sweet for someone not to know what I was referring to! Again, thx. Hopefully, it's something easy like flywheel bolts needing to be tightened up.
