Hernia anyone?

Posted By: Tyrel On: 11-11-2009 @ 11:33:21         Reply | Edit
Anyone ever had a hernia?

I was moving furniture on sunday. Felt fine, sunday night laying in bed i felt a sharp pain in my abdomen that would come and go. Thought i just strained something. Monday, same thing, but as the day went on it got worse. Tuesday during the day i was fine, but had the odd sharp pain. Tuesday night however, on the toilet taking a shit i nearly passed out from the instant pain. Now it's coming in constant waves every 10 mins or so, i feel like i have to pee all the time. I have been slightly constipated as well.

Any of you old buggers think this is a hernia? or could it be something else? i don't have a bulge that i can see, but i am very tender just above where the pain is. My doctor isn't in today, due to remembrance day, but will be in tomorrow. Should i go to the ER and wait 4 hours?

I'm only 25! I have lifted literally 700 lb conveyors myself, worked with my body for 15 years, i can squat 450, yet a fucking ottoman does me in!

I'm no doctor, but it sounds like an inguinal hernia to me. These seem to be pretty common in men. Age really doesn't have anything to do with it. My buddy who is 24 just had one recently. He had to have surgery to repair it, but recovered nicely afterwards.

Was it a 800lb ottoman?

It does sound like it might be a hernia. Keep an eye out for bruising in your abdomen area, if that starts happening go to the ER.

If it gets worse, go to the ER too. It may even be apendicitis.

lift with your back and lock your knees. if you don't know if you can lift it, try at least 3 times before getting help. always make sure to use quick jerking motions when heavy lifting.

lol frank, i'll keep that in mind.

Went to the clinic. Not a hernia! w00t.

However i became a man today... a gay man. Thats a very uncomfortable thing to have done.

Not suspected cancer either, i am scheduling an ultra sound and another doc appointment. No meds.

Kidney stones? If you press on the spot, does it hurt more when pressure is released?

well this is one old peep never had one, so I dont have a clue, but since thay dont make yung'uns like they used to, and they are now all weak and fragile, not resilliant at all, I would suggest you go see adoc asap.

Ha wait dont y'all have free healthcare like the BIG "O" is trying to start? better hope you can get in to see a Doctor before it gets serious, say in the next six months.
You aint been chokin; the chicken too much recently since the wifes pregnant have you?
