Thats a bigass cam for LTx

I remember you wanting to boost it, but whats your expected CR with those pistons?

that is a HUGE cam, dayyyyum - Especially for a non LSx.

Are you going to be able to get a dyno or track run in after it is all said and done?

What kind of power are you and LE expecting anyway? Any expected times?

Get an idle clip when you get it running (if you can get it to idle that is)

Well I told Lloyd what I was after, so I am leaving that (idle stuff) to him, It's an M6 Trans, so that takes a lil of the idle issue away.
Just ordered my parts from Jegs, should have the long block stuff in a few days, other studd is back ordered prolly wont see that for 15 - 20 days.

Not sure if there is a dyno here, but I really dont think so, there is a non sanctioned 1/8 track here, but I aint building this for the track, it's a sometimes driven street car, aka my stress relief toy!

"that is a HUGE cam, dayyyyum - Especially for a non LSx."

So, I asked the question "hopefully I wont have serious idle issues with it"

And the reply was:-
"nah, it will have a lil more chop and "hit" at idle compared to the old cam and make similar power right off idle and make MORE power from 2000 RPM on up and the car will be just as drivable as before once you get used to the extra power. "

Followed by this, which cracks me up "the only way that you might consider the new cam to be not streetable is if you consider "no traction" being unstreetable, lol. "

Let me rephrase

My drag car doesnt have that much lift OR duration

but with ALL due respect Pocket, I really really hope you are wrong, and LE is correct, I really do!

you'll be fine. drive ability is relative. i drove with only 2 good brakes (fronts thank god) and a high idle issue (~2200) rpms for about a month. tons of people told me that car isn't driveable.

okay, that sounds better. I was hoping you weren't going to try and get 385ci by simply boring it out.

Short block assembly has begun, rings filed and fitted, new pistons on the rods, crank is in and bearing clearences and end play confirmed. Plus 2 pistons installed.
I am expecting the cam, and springs this week as well as related components to degree the cam, Hopefuly bu early next week the rest of the parts from jegs will be here, which will only leave the pushrods to be ordered when I have confirmed the length required.

LT-Fool I will soon need that tune you promised me, don't go getting lost now thanks
